Coach Jim is the owner and operator of Happy Feet Indianapolis.  He has played soccer most of his life from youth rec and travel leagues to adult intramurals.  Additionally, Jim has had a variety of soccer coaching experiences at the club, middle school, and high school level.  He is a strong believer in developing sound individual skills at the early stages of a child’s learning, which is the main focus of the Happy Feet Curriculum.

Coach Jim started coaching soccer while working as a counselor at Camp Tecumseh in Brookston, IN.  It was at Camp Tecumseh that he learned the impact that sports and exercise could have on children.  Upon graduation from Purdue University with a degree in Elementary Education he went on to teach 5^th Grade while coaching middle school and select level club soccer.  After quickly realizing the passion he had for the game he went on to pursue coaching at the High School level in 2008.  Since then he has been a part of the coaching staff for two state championship qualifying teams.  Jim holds the NSCAA Director of Coaching certificate and a USSF National “D” License in addition to many other certifications and licenses from the NSCAA and USSF.

As a former teacher, player, and coach Jim has developed a great understanding for how children learn and the impact of exercise and motor skill development on children’s lives.  Through the Happy Feet curriculum he is excited to bring his passion for sport and exercise to youth in the greater Indianapolis area!
